Yes. PCOS is one of the conditions where acupuncture has strong evidence. Research shows acupuncture can reduce androgen levels, normalize LH:FSH ratios, and regulate menstrual cycles in women with PCOS - improving the hormonal environment for ovulation and conception. Combined with herbal medicine and dietary guidance, our PCOS protocols typically produce measurable cycle improvements within 2-3 months.
How soon before trying to conceive should I start acupuncture?
Ideally, 3 months before your planned conception attempt or IVF cycle - this corresponds to the 90-day maturation cycle of eggs and allows time to optimize their quality. However, starting at any point provides benefit. Even beginning acupuncture one cycle before IVF can support endometrial receptivity and reduce the stress and side effects of stimulation medications.
Can acupuncture help with male factor infertility?
Possibly.
